Ernie - Bass and BackUp Vocals Ernie Santoro has been playing music since age six, when mandatory piano lessons started. When he reached grade five, he joined a ukulele band and from there graduated to a baritone uke and then to a six-string (Gretsch Firebird) guitar, which he wishes he still had. In college he was in a rock band utilizing guitar, bass guitar and sax. Interestingly, the college band (Del Guano) made the same amount for a gig as does Doubletake now, some 40 years later! After law school he was in several bands in Rochester and eventually ended up as a bass player and back up vocalist with the Doubletake Blues Band. Ernie also plays with Giuseppe Scungilli and the Screaming Seagull Review (soon to be in the studio to record a CD), which backs up the Cadillacs and The Blues Brothers-in-law. These groups have been a feature act at Marge's Lakeview for the past two years. Ernie's gear consists of a Fender Jazz bass through a Ampeg 210 amp, and endorses Whirlwind Audio equipment. |

Joe - Keyboards, Backup Vocals Joe Saliceti is the newest addition to the band. He brings over 20 years of keyboard experience with him to the band. Joe also plays the tenor sax, brass instruments and dabbles with the drums as well. Joe has played with Papanut (a classic rock cover band), No Convictions (a southern rock cover band), The Frogman, and has a few projects he is working on, on the side. Joe's biggest influences are Stevie Wonder, Greg Allman and Herby Hancock. Joe's gear includes a Korg Triton LE Music Workstation, a Yamaha PSR735, and multiple Peavy amps. Joe feels privileged to have met the Doubletake crew and they are some of the finest musicians and friends that he has ever met. Joe loves the electricity that the band puts out and the intense chemistry that they have on stage! |
